Jamie’s earliest memories of faith are going to Sunday school at a Methodist Church near his home in Salem, New Jersey. His parents, although they attended church during their younger years, did not regularly attend anywhere but encouraged him to go. Jamie attended a Freewill Baptist church during his pre-teen years and in his teenage/high school years attended a Baptist church where he was saved and accepted Christ as Savior. About the same time, Jamie felt God calling him to ministerial service. He didn’t know how, where or when, but he knew God was calling him to pastoral ministry.
Jamie attended Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA and received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He completed his ministerial studies through Nazarene Bible College in March of 2010.
Tracy is a fourth generation Nazarene. She was raised in the church by her parents and grandmother. She and Jamie met in high school. They were in theatre together. The moment they met the Holy Spirit seemed to indicate to them they would one day be married. Tracy knew that God had called Jamie to pastoral ministry and she firmly believes that if God called him to ministry, He called her as his help-mate in ministry.
Jamie served as the associate pastor in Port Elizabeth Church of the Nazarene for four years. In May 2010 Jamie was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. When the opportunity to become the pastor was presented to Jamie, they prayed about it and it became clear this was God’s call; Jamie was appointed to pastor the Port Elizabeth Church of the Nazarene which began on June 6, 2010. They are thankful for the opportunity to serve as one of the many pastoral couples on the district.
Like the apostle Paul, Jamie has a bi-vocational "tent-making" ministry and has served in Salem County in the banking industry for 17 years. He is now working for Dempsey-Weiss Insurance Company through Farm and Family in Elmer, NJ. Tracy is a 2013 graduate of Nazarene Bible College with a BA degree in Christian School Education. She is also employed with the Maurice River Township Elementary School as an Instructional Aide.
Pastor Jamie and Tracy enjoy singing with The Heaven Bound Singers which gives them an opportunity to use their musical abilities. They love the sense of family in the church where they serve and are thankful for the blessing of serving in ministry together with Tracy’s family.
